Cultural Immersion Summer Youth Camp - 1st Session

In collaboration with major partners, we have successfully accomplished our 1st session of our Cultural Immersion Summer Youth Camp that started on July 7, 2025 – July 18, 2025 which was held at the Carolinian Affairs Grounds.
100 youth participated from ages 5 – 12 years old, enjoying each station.
1. Atupak Slingstone, 2. Chamorro Dances, 3. Joeten Kiyu Public Library, 4. Coconut Oil Making, 5. Swimming Monday and Wednesday with Lelek Rides Thursdays and Fridays. Our partners from Carolinian Affairs also joined the camp and brought in 6. Bead Lighatútúúr making, 7. Banana Painting, 8. Talaya Casting 9. Carolinian Dances.

Our partners from Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry also joined the camp to facilitate to our campers how to plant trees, and the important of planting, on the last day we had Department of Public Safety bringing down their Jetskis, Boating Safety Patrol Boat, a Police Vehicle, and the Rapid Response Tactical Vehicle and Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services set up and allowed our campers to sit, climb, and learn about the importance of our CNMI’s emergency vehicles.

This was our First Friday April Outreach that we partnered up with DCCA- DYS Family and Youth Enhancement Program. Cultural Practitioner John Hosono demonstrating how to make coconut oil to group of after school program children at Kagman Community Center from 2:00 pm - 6 pm

National Park Ranger Week 4-19-25

The cultural practitioner for at the Memorial Park for the Junior Ranger is Cultural Practitioner, Germaine Deleon Guerrero facilitating how to weave baskets to participants for their Easter weekend.
